Annie hates running but she will do it anyway in honor of Kyle. However, no matter how far she runs she cannot escape the guilt that if she hadn't broken up with him then Kyle might still be alive. Training for a marathon is harder than Annie thought, not only is she at war with her body, but she is also at war with her heart. Every mile Jeremiah cheers her on she gets more confused. She wants to run into his arms but she also wants to run in the opposite direction. As Annie starts opening up to the idea of loving again she begins to realize that running a marathon might be doable but running away from matters of the heart? Not so much.
Let's talk about how Miranda has made me cry, laugh, get angry, get annoyed, and most of all has made me long for boys that don't exist. Some might call those things cruel, but I call them casualties of an excellent writer. Breathe, Annie, Breathe had my emotions on a roller coaster from the very beginning and I couldn't put the book down. It took the clock turning to 5 AM to convince me that I might need to put it down for some beauty sleep. I have got to say that this book is probably one of my favorite NA contemporary novels that I have ever read and I've read a lot. I have never been so captured by a contemporary novel before like I was with this book. I felt Annie's pain and her determination and most of all I felt her heart. Miranda did such an amazing job of bringing her characters to life that I couldn't help but fall in love with them. It's rare that I admire a fictional character but I admired the hell out of Annie and her determination to run in Kyle's memory. And Jeremiah had me blushing and swooning like a little school girl. Yet ANOTHER fictional boy I'm crushing on *sigh* but what are you gonna do with such amazing boyfriend material? Everything about this book had my heart feeling all the emotions. All the feels. I also love the fact that this book has more of a new adult feel where as her previous books are more young adult. I have to say that this is Miranda's best novel so far, and that's saying a lot since her other books are at the top of my favorites list. I highly recommend this book to lovers of breathtaking NA contemporaries that will sweep you off your feet and capture your heart. I give this book five out of five stars.

Seventeen year old Jill has fought in a lot of fencing matches, but she has never held a sharpened blade. Therefore, when she finds a corroded sword piece on a Caribbean beach, she is instantly fascinated and takes the treasured with her. However, the blade holds secrets and it transports Jill through time onto a pirate ship. Stranded and surrounded by strangers Jill is forced to sign onto the crew for any hope to go home. Nevertheless, a pirate’s life is never easy and as Jill learns about the black magic that brought her there, she schemes to get home. Jill will risk everything to get home, and a duel to the death against an evil pirate captain seems like the only way to do that.
THIS BOOK WAS SO FASCINATING. It is the first pirate book that I have ever read and I have to admit that I am a little bit obsessed with it now. It awakened my imagination and I could practically see the events in this book happening. You are truly immersed in this pirate world. The story keeps you guessing as to what is going to happen next, and the action in Steel never stops. The main character is relatable and so interesting that you start to admire her. She is fierce and determined, and I was cheering for her throughout the whole book. There was a little romance in it, but the book mostly focuses on her adventure, which fits this book perfectly. After I finished Steel, I was determined to become a pirate and acquire a beautiful sword just like the heroine. I highly recommend this book to lovers of Jack Sparrow (there should be a captain in there somewhere) and a good fantasy pirate book filled with goodness. I give Steel five out of five stars!
Another fabulous cover by Damonza! What do you think?

I loved every page of White Hot Kiss. I have never read a book like this where it features, gargoyles, demons, AND a zombie. The myth and mystery in the story had me excited to read nonstop. This book gave me all the feels; I will admit that I cried in the end. I got angry, I got happy, I got sad, and I loved every minute of it. THANK GOD, THERE WILL BE A SEQUEL. The romance was spectacular and fiery, the action was heart pounding, and the dialogue was hilarious! The main character is so relatable (for me anyway) and that is what I love most about books, characters that seem so real. This book made me want to read more of Jennifer's work and I cannot wait to see what else she has in store for me. You will definitely not be disappointed with this book. I highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for a good fantasy book filled with everything you love in a book. I give it five out of five stars.
For sixteen-year-old Charlotte (Charlie) Reynolds, being raised by a single dad and three older brothers has its benefits. She can outplay any guy she knows including her honorary bother and longtime neighbor, Braden. However, when it comes to being a girl, Charlie does not know a thing about it. When she starts working at a boutique in the mall to pay off a speeding ticket she finds herself in a strange world of lacy skirts, makeup, and bedazzlers. Even odder, she is spending time with a boy who does not know about her ability to tear it up at a pickup game. Charlie must deal with the stress of faking her way through her new reality and so she seeks refuge in her back yard at night, talking out her problems with Braden through the fence that separates them. However, Braden cannot help Charlie with her biggest problem, the fact that she is falling for him. Charlie knows that spilling her secret could mean losing him for good, and that is something that she cannot let happen.
I adored this book. I finished it in two hours, which is a new record for me because I could not put it down. This is a book about a girl falling in love with her brother’s best friend and I am obsessed with books like this. I love books that involve protective older brothers too. I was sucked into the story just by the premise of it and I was not disappointed after I finished. It is the perfect romance book and a super fun read. The main character Charlie was relatable and down to earth, which made her extremely likable, and Braden was so swoon worthy, especially when he was jealous. Not only is this book a perfect romance book, but it is also a book about loss, which shocked me. It is not your typical YA romance book. It had my emotions all over the place and I can honestly say that I loved every minute of it. This book left me feeling giddy and smiling like an idiot for a while. On the Fence is the perfect book to read during summer for all those romantics out there, and for anyone who is looking for a book that will leave you smiling. I give it five out of five stars.

Becca wants nothing more than to go home when she is dragged on a cruise of Europe’s ancient cities. Her stepmother calls this a family trip but with a father who barely notices her and a brother who has nothing better to do then look for new girls to hook up with, this is anything but a family trip. Becca is miserable until she bumps into Nikolai, a handsome stranger. She does not know that she has just met a runaway prince. As Nikolai takes his freedom from the crown into his own hands, he struggles to stay anonymous in his travels, and when he meets Becca, he wants nothing more than to have more time away from the palace to spend with her. Sparks fly as they continue to journey through Europe all the while dodging paparazzi and Becca’s family, but soon her cruise will end and they will have to say goodbye. Will it be goodbye forever?
Royally Lost will take you on a journey of Europe and first love, and you will not want to miss it. I really loved this book. Everything about it was amazing. It had everything from romance and swoon worthy scenes to adventures and thrilling action. I could easily imagine myself in Becca's shoes and the thrill of exploring a foreign country made me quickly fall in love with this book and its characters. Nikolai had me swooning and flailing around like an idiot at his romantic and witty banter. He made me want to travel to Europe and maybe find a prince of my own. Becca had me cheering for her front the very beginning and she made me want to laugh aloud with her quick wit too. This book gave me the feeling of being totally free and that's what makes this book so special. I could stop reading it for a little bit, yet I still felt like I was with Becca and Nikolai in Europe. There is never a dull moment in Royally Lost. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a sweet YA contemporary novel about first loves, sneaky adventures, and traveling. I give it five out of five stars!
